For those of you who read the image caption and immediately exclaimed that Big Ben is not the name of the tower, give yourself a pat on the back: it’s the Elizabeth Tower.
Either way, whichever name you think of when seeing this amazing structure, go and see it before it starts to lose any of its £80M dazzle. It might not gather as much smoke and grime as it has in the past – thanks to the ultra low emission zone – but it is frequently battered and bruised by the good old British weather.
It really does look impressive by the way. For me, it looks best on a bright summers day but, if you’re not lucky with the weather on the day, don’t worry because it still looks formidable whatever the weather: except perhaps dense fog.
