What’s it all about…?
At present, the content, the editing, publishing and everything else is down to a small number of contributors who give what they can when they can. Depending on the interest shown to our magazine, the number of contributors may grow, or reduce if circumstances are less positive.
Who are we? Well, we have decided that our identities and backstories are unimportant at this time. If anyone really wants to find information about us, they will possibly do just that because no one is trying to hide their identity. We just don’t see anyone being interested in a description of us at this time.
What type of articles will the magazine be made up of? Because most of us grew up in the sixties and seventies, the content may frequently contain language and humour from a bygone time when seen through the eyes of younger people. That said, some people from the aforementioned era sometimes experience something of a void in the entertainment and information that they can identify with. Because this is a considerable percentage of human population, we believe that this could reduce the quality of life for several million people who feel they matter less and less as they have little positive representation in the mainstream media.
We hope to include articles that will entertain those people; make them laugh; give them food for thought; signpost them to credible resources; explain how to do things; promote happiness, wellbeing, good mental and physical health; bring attention to items of interest; and anything else that we feel to be an opportunity to add something positive to an older person’s life. Whether we can manage to do any of that is up to you to decide.
Is the magazine monthly or weekly? Neither of those. We hope to add content daily, and as frequently as possible but as yet, it remains to be seen whether we are able to achieve this ambition.
Can anyone comment on the posts? Yes, anyone can add a comment but all comments will be reviewed prior to being published. Only comments felt to be constructive and free from unacceptable content will be published.
